D. Campbell Deacon
Mr. Deacon was CEO of Azure from 2000 until April, 2007 when he became Chairman. He has more than 35 years of domestic and international experience in the financial and corporate sectors. Mr. Deacon is also Chairman of Deacon & Company, an investment firm.
He is currently a director of three other public companies, all of which are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, (i) CPI Plastics (where he is a member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Compensation Committee, (ii) UTS Energy Corporation (where he is a member of the Audit Committee), and (iii) Scandinavian Minerals Limited (where he is a member of the Audit Committee).
Mr. Deacon was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deacon Barclays deZoete Wedd (an international investment banking firm) from 1986 to 1994. From 1994 until 1999 he was CEO of UTS Energy Corporation.
He has served as a member of the Listing Committee of the Toronto Stock Exchange, as Chairman of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, and as a Governor of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund.
