Jay A. Sandler
Vice President, Sales
Jay Sandler joined Azure Dynamics in May of 2008 as Vice President of Sales. He came to us from the Workhorse Custom Chassis, a business unit of Navistar Inc. He was Vice President of Commercial Products for the past nine years. Workhorse is a leading manufacturer of gas and diesel powered chassis for the Walk-in Delivery Van and Recreational Vehicle markets. Mr. Sandler was responsible for Sales, Marketing and Dealer Operations at Workhorse.
Prior to Workhorse, Mr. Sandler was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bering Truck Corporation. Bering was a start-up company partnered with Hyundai Trucks of Korea, producing and marketing class 3 thru class 8 commercial trucks for the North American market. He was instrumental in launching the company from the start up phase thru ongoing sales and service of the product line.
Mr. Sandler came to Bering from Rockwell International's Automotive Operations (today called Arvin Meritor) where he spent 24 years, starting out as an entry level Engineer and progress through a number of management roles including Southeast Regional Manager, Vice President of Sales and Operations of their joint venture with WABCO to Director of North American Field Sales and Service Operations.
Mr. Sandler is a native of Valley Stream, New York and holds a Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from the State University of New York at Morrisville, a Bachelors Degree in Automotive Engineering from Western Michigan University and a Masters Degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University.
